Everything we've shipped this month
We're in national beta and the feedback loop is fast. When you have real members using the product every day, you learn quickly what's missing, what's confusing, and what's working better than you'd hoped.
This is the full rundown of what we've shipped this month.
You can now text Ezra
This is the big one.
Ezra is now available by text, 24/7, at (835) 280-2942. iPhone users get iMessage. Everyone else gets SMS. There's no app required. Just add the number to your contacts and send a message.
Because Ezra already knows your home, it can actually do things when you text it. You can ask it to log an appliance, share a photo of something you want diagnosed, or get started coordinating a contractor. It's not a chatbot you're explaining your house to from scratch every time. It's a conversation that picks up where it left off.
To get started: open the app, go to Settings, add your phone number if it's not there, and text Ezra at (835) 280-2942. You can also reply directly to emails from ezra@joinrafter.com and Ezra will respond.
The monitoring screen is completely rebuilt
The old monitoring screen showed you a list of things to do. The new one shows you the state of your home: what's covered, what's partially covered, and where there are gaps.
Each monitoring module now has a clear activation state. When you complete a module, Ezra's guidance gets more specific to your home. It stops giving generic advice and starts giving advice about your HVAC, your smoke detectors, your appliances. The more you complete, the sharper Ezra gets.
Modules are now ordered by priority, you can see your running "Days Protected" and monitoring activity totals, and the design is cleaner across both mobile and desktop.
The desktop app is live
Everything in Rafter is now available at app.rafterhome.com, not just on your phone. The desktop experience has its own layout with a full sidebar. We rebuilt the mobile menu at the same time: four-tab navigation on mobile, full sidebar on desktop.
Add photos of your appliances and Ezra does the rest
You can now add photos of your appliances, HVAC, or other systems when you're logging them. Ezra reads the photos (make, model, serial number) and automatically builds personalized maintenance recommendations from them. No manual entry, no hunting for model numbers.
Proactive check-ins from Ezra
Ezra now reaches out proactively. Not randomly, but based on what's happening with your home. When there's something worth flagging, Ezra will send you a message rather than waiting for you to open the app and go looking.
Settings and account management
We rebuilt the Settings screen from scratch. You can now manage your plan and billing, update your account details, and see your current coverage, all in one place. We also added a full Insurance Certificate page back to the menu.
A few other things worth knowing
Shared home accounts. Your spouse or partner can create their own account linked to the same home, so both of you have full access without sharing a login.
Ezra can help book services. If you need a contractor, Ezra can now help start the coordination. Ask it over text or in the app.
The app itself is faster. We did a full redesign pass on the core screens and cleaned up a lot of rough edges from the beta launch.

What's next
The big area of focus is making Ezra's proactive capabilities sharper, so that what you get from Ezra is increasingly specific to your home, your situation, and your timing. There's also more work coming on the insurance side. Most homes qualify for device credits they've never claimed, and we want to make that process more automated.
If you've been away for a bit, now's a good time to come back. And if you're willing to share feedback, it would mean a lot. You can reach Anil directly at anil@rafterhome.com or book a time at calendly.com/rafter-hq/member-feedback.
